With 9 (yes, nine! ) defeats on the spin, Lewes are just two defeats away from equaling the Conference record for straight defeats, currently held by Droylesden who lost 11 on the bounce during the 07-08 season! Thought this might be of interest to our Lewes supporting mod.

Do I have to ban everyone on here!
With Rushden away and then Cambridge at home I can see us achieving that with ease. Then Crawley away to break the record. We can't buy a goal at home. Shame, but we're down anyway now due to the ground. It's all about enjoying the big teams while we're playing them and looking forward to next year! Wrexham were pretty bloody awful on Saturday though.

It's all about enjoying the big teams while we're playing them. 1-5 at your county rivals can't have been easy on the eye though, eh?

Thankfully there were only 500 Crawley fans there to see it, with 100 of us. Must have been the draw of Man Yoo on the telly. I said before I'd be happy with 15-1 as long as we scored.
Absolutely silent fans as well - not one song all game. Decent ground though.

How many defeats on the spin is it now? I've lost count! Whats the latest Lewes news then Simon? Will it be conference south or ryman next season?

Thats 12 on the trot, with no win in 15 in all competitions! And only two goals scored. Pretty easy to count!
This week (again) should decide what happens. There is a winding up order against the club from Portakabin thats due on the 9th. I would imagine if sense prevails we will go into administration before March 26th (after and we will be deducted the points next year).
There was trouble at the weekend at the ground with one of the players fathers threatening to punch a fan who suggested (quite rightly) that Keehan should go. Happy days!

As a matter of interest, would the Conference not boot you out altogether if you did go into administration?
They double relegated Boston a couple of years ago, and if they did the same to you, then you would be back in the Ryman league.
(Mind you, I still don't think the Conference had forgiven Boston for cheating their way into the league, so when they came back down it was too good an oportunity for them to miss).

If we go into admin and don't come out by the Conference AGM (June I think?) then we will be automatically demoted to the Ryman. If we come out of admin before then we will just take the points hit and start in the BSS next season. Of course this could have been made less stressful by going into admin earlier but the owner wanted to collect the last payment due from the Conference.
