Lewes U18's are in action against Premiership Hull City U18 side in the 3rd round of the FA Youth Cup on Monday 8 December.
The young Rooks secured their passage with a convincing 3-0 win against Croydon Athletic last week.
With U18 David Wheeler recently breaking into the Lewes first team, and a number of his colleagues attracting interest from Premiership scouts, the youth side are creating a buzz around the Dripping Pan at the moment, and a good sized crowd is expected for the tie which Hull manager Phil Brown has indicated that he may attend.
The match kicks off at 7.45pm. Our first team might be struggling this year but the U18's are having a cracking season with this game up next Monday night. I strongly recommend anyone with the evening free pops down and checks them out. It's £3.00 for adults and you can drink on the terraces. Should be a bigger crowd than the 1st team get (500+)! David Wheeler has been outstanding and is through to the third stage of the England Schools Trials. Last 32 I think it is.

Lost 2-1 - was honestly the best game of football I've seen in years. I wish the 1st Team played the game that well. Hull were two up at half time with two scuffed goals but they certainly weren't over running us - some of the play from both sides was sublime, all one touch, pass and move stuff. After Lewes pulled one back Hull sat back and resorted to lumping it out of defence and sitting 10 behind the ball. Great night though - 529 paying crowd and 300 schoolkids who got in for nowt meant a fantastic atmosphere. Hopefully some of the kids will come back on Saturdays.
