Sporting Bengal without a point so far this season, they've taken some real spankings along the way as well. In the league Erith and Herne Bay have put 6 past them and Beckenham 5. All in all 25 goals conceded in 6 games. With expectation, however, comes pressure. Will be interesting to see how the Wells hold up tomorrow. Prediction: Wells 4 Bengal 0

Question will be, can the lads turn in an equally professional performance as they did against Ash? If they can, it could be a mullering for Sporting, because I can't imagine that defence will be more solid than Ash's.
But... historically, they've always liked the extra space of a wider pitch at Culverden. I can remember their first year in the KL, where they only won one game all season, and that was 4-0 at Tunbridge Wells!!! Horrible memory. I can still remember the cheer that came out of their dressing room.
Prediction: 6-1

..plus the fact...younever know which Sporting Bengal will turn up! Don`t forget that they play a lot of tournaments at weekends such as Glasgow (the week before last) and have a lot of squad players. Never under-estimate any opposition. Prediction: 7-1 ;D ;D

Our pitch is narrower than it was at the time of the infamous 0-4 drubbing.
Sporting Bengal have always looked to take something away from their games against the Wells which is obviously an unpalatable truth for us.
I think, however, that we have enough players who will still remember the dismal mid-winter match at Culverden last season where our ten men lost to a last minute goal when the ball appeared to be kicked out of our keeper's hands. Motivation enough for the lads?
A win I think and with something to spare. 5-0.

I'm going for 4-2 as it always seems to be the case that whenever a team is expected to win easily, things never quite go to plan! Hopefully there will be a good crowd anyway - can't wait!!!!

i struggle to make mid week games due to work, i reckon if the conditions are right i cant believe bengal are relishing a trip down to us and we could be rampant!
either 2v1 or 8v0!

Pitch is wet but "playable so far" is the verdict!
The ever-working Secretary, Joe, has lined it and said that the puddles, in evidence yesterday, have gone.

Meantime, the Sussex League forum are in the process of wishing Wes Tate a happy birthday. I'll echo what I said there, and hope he bags a few goals to help him celebrate! Hear, hear! Make it a night to remember, a hat trick would do very nicely!
