So come on then, realistically where do we see the club in 1 year/5years/10years?

My cousin told me that the Conference in 5 years was the goal! Can't see that without a lot of money being ploughed into the club. Certainly the Ryman is realistic though - depending on what needs to be done ground-wise anyway.

Realistically? Well, I know people are saying Ryman League in 2-3 years, but what I experienced on Saturday (from the pitch, to the vibe around the club - everything) reminds me of what I saw, and envied, over at Whitstable in their promotion year... the whole image of the club and the energy of the people running it at various levels is turning The Wells around to look like a Ryman league side.
I won't guess at 1-year's time, although I really wouldn't be surprised if we were promoted ahead of schedule.
Over the next five years, I would like to think that this club could stablilse in the Ryman League, with a near-identical batch of players (plus some reserve players really pressing), who then mature further, and get the club up to the Ryman Premier League.
...or am I being too bullish with my 5-year forecast???

if you look at ramsgate and maidstone once up the transition to ryman premier league was made very quickley as you can't beat the winning environment.
but i think realistically we want to be looking at ryman football asap to keep hold of these talented players

A good cup run to bring in some cash for ground work would be very welcome.

Ryman league in the next few years has got to be the realistic expectation, not going to be easy though, this is a tough league to get out of. We can all dream! ;D

I think its great the way we have slipped under the radar as far as being contenders is concerned. Personally I think it is a crying shame that the club has been stuck in the Kent League for 42 years and it is long overdue a promotion.
Gates are improving, the volume is getting turned up, smiles are on faces. Its all looking good. I think that if we were to go up, we would average 200 per game without too much of a push. This in turn generates momentum so I think the Kent League years would soon be well behind us.
Personally I think we will go up within the next year or two. Conference football? Let's just enjoy each season as it comes.

With ground grading being a factor, and plenty of work to be done to achieve it...it may well be 2-3 years..unless toilets, shower heads, changing rooms, seating, surrounding fences, hospitality room, physio room, etc etc, is in place (or plans are in place) by Xmas...we could win the League by a country mile and still not go up The lads are doing it on the field...but we still gotta do it off!!

As far as I know, we'll be OK with the surrounding fences, as the ground doesn't back on to anything - the trees provide a pretty good screen. I thought all those green portacabins were going to be plummed in as toilets. Hospitality room? Many moons ago, that's what the portacabin was parked up at the top of the terrace for, but I saw on Saturday, all the windows are now boarded up. What's happening to that? Seating, while not in the best nick is still at the required amount. We have one turnstile waiting to be installed. One more would be needed. This wouldn't need to be done by Christmas. Next April will be the deadline, as long as we've applied by Christmas. That's when the initial inspections took place - well a few years back they did anyway - and you'll know exactly what you'll need to do. From there on in, it's all hands on deck. Hopefully there will be a good army of volunteers looking to help their club move onwards and up.

Absolutely agree and potacabin is being turned into hospitality and office. The only problem to be sorted out with the fencing is that people can come through a big hole on the school side. Thats got to be blocked. As for everything else, its pretty much minor stuff and, as you say, all hands on deck I am sure will get us up there!! Can`t wait....
