Firstly, great that we've avoided dull ties against other KL opposition. I think personally the draw has been kind to us. Obviously don't know how Mile Oak or Hailsham have been re-building over the summer, but they formed the bottom two of last year's Sussex League Div 1 table. I notice a third encounter with Ash Man is on the cards if we get through to the First Round Proper of the Vase! Who could ever forget: www.youtube.com/watch?v=S06CDnN87-A ;D

Good to avoid the usual Kent League suspects. Looking forward to our away day at Mile Oak's Recreation Ground home. Remain hopeful that we might win a cup game or two this season!

I have a feeling your hope is well placed this time WW. As far as the road to Wembley in the Vase goes so far:
Hailsham (h) Oakwood or East Preston (h) Ash/Corinthian/Sidley (a)
Nobody there we shouldn't be able to beat if approached right. So into the 2nd Round Proper, and things start to get interesting.

If I have to miss one of those games due to the various weddings I have to go to this season, I will hit the roof!

Wells away to Leverstock Green (mid-table, Spartan South Midlands League) in the third round of the Vase. Looking forward to our trip north of London, ground looks very much like a VCD new build affair.
Who knows? One more win and the draw goes national. Exciting times!

Any idea on when roughly the Vase game will be rearranged for? Barring an absolute miracle that would be a total thaw prior to match-day.

Usually with the extra distances involved at this stage, replays are scheduled for the following Saturday - so I expect that'd be the case for a postponement too.
If so, I have a hunch it may mean the game goes to extra time and pens if needed next week too... maybe someone else could confirm that?

Morning all,
The FA will not allow games to be officially postponed until the morning of the game usually, but for this occasion only, they have decided that games can be called off from 12 noon today.
It will be.
The game will be played on Saturday 11th December at 15:00 but will still only be for 90 minutes. The replay would have to be by Saturday 18th.
This means that the KST game scheduled for the 11th will be moved, but the Race Night planned for the evening will still go ahead.
I'll update our website and various other sites with the official confirmation of the postponement later today, in line with FA rules.
