Call me a grump if you like, but I wondered after reading this: www.kentishfootball.co.uk/mambo/index.phpWhat on earth makes Fisher think they'll get a big crowd for this match? Appointing the turnstiles lady to take charge for a game shows a real mickey mouse attitude. Couple it with the fact they're taking on Eastleigh (fourth place) and they're going to get tanked tonight. If I was one of the other sides going for a play-off place, I'd be pretty upset that the antics of one club who's given up the ghost is handing a likely free-points bonus to Eastleigh. And anyway, I understand this occasion isn't historic at all. Droylesden's manager has put the tea ladies in charge of Manchester Premier Cup matches in the past to show how highly he rates that competition apparently. Rant over - now I'm going to get proved wrong. Fisher to win 5-0 in front of a 1,000+ crowd. Regular Fisher manager gets sacked in the morning as a result. ;D

Today is D-day in the courts for Fisher and (I'm led to believe) Lewes. Both could receive winding-up orders. Fisher could be re-starting life in the Kent League next season... Simon - I am sincerely sorry for you, Phill and other Lewes fans - but to state the bleeding obvious, this is yet another stark warning to sides that if you're building for a promotion charge to do it properly on solid foundations. Will all pay heed? Somehow, I doubt it.

Outcome for Fisher:
According to their forum, they've been given until 22nd April to settle their outstanding liabilities.
Supporters' minds now turn to:
a) How to settle outstanding debt b) Putting plans in place in case a re-form is required.

Interestingly Fisher's case is being heard on the same day as Lewes' winding up order from Portakabin.
