I've just read a comment from a Crowborough fan who was impressed last night. But he's talking about some people who 'shouldn't be playing for Tunbridge Wells'.
I've explained my view that players who stuck around and helped us to possibly win a title could end up with something to show from the season/career AND enjoy a better standard of football next season as opposed to just a better standard of football now, which is what this fan thinks.
I think that a mark of a quality isn't just the level of football they play at, but whether they've had the patience to pick up winner's medals from seeing jobs through during their careers too.
But what do other people think?

this is the problem with being succesful - i know from speaking to one of the management team that he winces everytime he sees certain players names on message boards as it alerts people to how well they are doing, at the same time we want to be discussing the great goals/saves/performances.
we just have to hope that a) the club b) the managers and c) us the fans do enough to make sure if an offer comes in the players find it impossibel to leave

Fact of the matter is that Mike has players approaching him to ask if they can join now and his scouting network is also extensive.
Add to this the fact that the players are enjoying playing for the Wells with its great depth and breadth of quailty coaching, tremendous team spirit, increasing support and its new ambitious board, and there will not be a big exodus of the best players. Big money offers may come in but can the new club match the 'Culverden culture.'
It is clear that these good players and coaches want to know how serious the board is about going up and if you talk to them you will know that ambition is equal on and off the pitch.
Players and supporters love being at the club and long may it continue.

bottom line is Culverden is a changed place, from top to bottom. Players and Mgt are being left to deliver on the pitch with no tosh from the board, the board are sorting the club out. It is working as you can see. We welcome anyone to the club, player, fan, opposition, anyone ...
As long as we see good football, good fans and offer a good afternoon out people will continue to come to the club .. players and fans alike ... long may it last.
